Artist Statement:

This moment was captured on Big River Tribe Country, Lutruwita - Tasmania. I loved the intimate intensity in the moment with the vibrant warm autumn colours and the roaring icy wind. I watched out as the sun set, existing within the extremes, and took this picture at last light. It was so wild yet so peaceful all at the same time.

Western Wilds was selected as a landscape semi-finalist in the Head On Foundation international photographic competition and was exhibited in the Bondi Pavilion Gallery, Sydney between 10 November to 3 December 2023.
